Thoroughly read Section 16. UPDATING THE FIRMWARE of the INSTRUCTION MANUAL and follow the instructions displayed on the IC-7700 LCD sereen.
The firmware update utility is downloadable from here for updating the firmware through the LAN port from a PC.
